The First Post

This is me, Lynda. This photo is taken from a great height to hide my triple chin. If you were standing in front of me though, that is the view you would have because I am teeny tiny.

The reasons I am starting this blog are:

1) I have kept journals about my attempts at weight loss for many years. This was to keep me accountable and so I could monitor my progress. My first one was in 1994 after I read all about Oprah Winfrey losing weight and running marathons. That is quite a few years ago. It is clearly not working. I think making my journal public might help me stick to things a little better. Well, I am hoping.

2) All of the books I have read written by people who have lost a lot of weight are basically 80% about how they got fat. I already know how they got fat. The same way I did. Eating crap and not exercising. Having said that, I don't want to read about how people lost weight either. I already know that too. They started eating better and working out. What I want to read is how people keep themselves inspired and motivated to get up every day and stick to a routine or healthy eating plans. So that is what this blog is about. So I can look back when I might be straying off track and know what works and what doesn't for me.

3) The last reason is I am totally up myself and am excited about seeing myself on the Internet. Well not in my current state but when I am getting lean and fit..wohoo!

4) I have a lot of other shit in my life that I have to get together too. My finances, my house (it is always a mess) and my business. I run my own business and while it is going well, I want it to go REALLY well.

So here I go.
